The way it has always been done
A race course is still managed by hand. Mark layers motor out with anchors and chain, drop marks by eye, and re-lay them every time the breeze shifts. Competitors shouldn't have to wait for this.

Precision positioning
Every second the mark compares where it is to where it was assigned to be. Inside half a metre it does nothing. Outside, the drive eases it back — slowly enough that nobody on the water sees it move.
Course intelligence
Pick a course template, the racing class and the desired racing time. The platform automatically sets the course size, with respect to the current weather conditions and deploys the appropriate mark to every position.

Leeward gates hold their width square to the breeze. Move one side and the geometry re-solves instead of drifting.
Weather intelligence
Marks send wind data to the platform which generates a forecast feed for the race officer to automatically align the course.
Live tracking
Position, speed, heading and VMG stream off the water in real time. Ranking is by ladder height — course made good on the wind axis — so two boats on opposite tacks at the same height rank dead even.
A boat sailing a wider tack logs more metres while sitting lower on the ladder. The order projects every boat onto the wind axis instead.
Each position sample lands as a breadcrumb that fades with age, so the track reads as evidence rather than decoration and cleans itself up.
Per-boat performance accumulates through the race into the report: top speed, best upwind and downwind VMG, average heel, metres sailed.
Race control
Nudge a mark a few metres. Rotate the course to the new breeze. Send the mark fleet home. Race data stored to serve sailors and coaches post race analytics.
Broadcast
The same telemetry drives a broadcast suite: a director that cuts on the story, ladder rungs that show who is really ahead, and a 3D course that turns tactics into something a viewer can read at a glance.
